Out of Service Area Clients: Due to the large number of “free” water analysis requests from clients residing beyond our EcoWater Systems Service Area, we are now forced to charge for basic water analysis services in order to cover expenses. The fee for basic water analysis – water testing is $25.00. **A comprehensive analysis report is included. Clients out of our EcoWater service area may mail their water sample(s) to Michael Robison, P.O. Box 9151, Moscow, Idaho, 83843. We analyze for pH, hardness minerals, iron, free chlorine, nitrate contamination, and total dissolved solids.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOME SAMPLING:
1. Allow water to run for a minute or two.
2. Collect the sample. Fill completely container completely and cap immediately. The idea is to expose the sample to as little air as possible. Avoid contact with your fingers.
3. Collection bottle should be glass or polycarbonate with plastic screw on cap. Sample volume should be 8 oz. or more. A small polycarbonate drinking water bottle from the grocery store works well, and is better for mailing.
4. We’ll need your contact information: name, address, telephone number. Knowing the approximate age of your home, the number of full-time residents, whether your water source is a private well, city/community well, or other water source is helpful, as well. Please tell us if you have any specific complaints about odor, taste, color, allergies, dry skin, poor laundry and dishwasher performance, etc. Answers to these inquiries, together with your water analysis will help us with recommendations for you.
Note: If mailing your water sample, send it early in the week.
